Privacy policy

In short: this website uses no cookies and does not track visits. I only receive your data if you write to me yourself – and I use it only to reply.

This is a translation. The Slovenian version is legally binding.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and does not measure visits. Fonts, images and scripts are loaded from the same server as the website, so no third party learns about your visit. That is also why there is no consent banner – there is nothing to consent to.

Contact form

If you write to me using the form, the data you enter yourself is collected:

  • full name
  • email address
  • phone number, if you provide it (optional)
  • the content of your message

The purpose is solely to reply to your message and, if relevant, to arrange an appointment. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to a possible engagement (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation).

You do not need to describe what you are going through in your message. The form therefore deliberately does not ask why you are getting in touch – such information belongs in a conversation, not in an email.

Who processes the data and where it is kept

Messages from the form are not stored on the web server: the server sends them as an email to my mailbox with Gmail (Google), and they remain only there.

The website is hosted by Domenca (Slovenia), whose server also sends the message. Google also processes data in the USA, so in the process your data is transferred outside the European Union.

Protection against abuse

To stop bots from flooding the form, a one-way hash of your IP address and the time of submission are stored for ten minutes when you send it. The address cannot be recovered from the hash, the record is deleted after ten minutes and it is not linked to the content of your message.

The server hosting the website also records the IP address, the time of the request and the page visited on every visit. These are technical logs that every web server creates, used for security and troubleshooting; they are not used for profiling.

How long

I keep messages for as long as they are needed to arrange an appointment and for any subsequent work together. If we do not go on to work together, or if you ask me to, I delete them.

Your rights

At any time you can request access to your data, its correction or deletion, or the restriction of processing, or object to processing – a message to info@psihoterapija-alenkav.net is enough. If you believe your rights have been violated, you can lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia.

Psychotherapy is not covered by this policy

This policy covers only the website and first contact. Everything that happens in psychotherapy is protected by professional confidentiality and separate rules – I am bound by the Code of Ethics of Slovenska krovna zveza za psihoterapijo and the Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-2).
